Our customer is an European licensed railway company and operates intermodal shuttle trains in 13 European countries. The European headquarters is located in Rotterdam.

Functieomschrijving / werkzaamheden

Controls and manages the operational rail process in line with requirements in the most cost efficient manner.
Executes relevant procedures as set by the Supervisor Operations
Instructs drivers and distributes rail and custom documents, track information and other relevant information to drivers.
Makes the daily report and register all relevant information about trains, irregularities and registration of actions and decisions taken especially in staff and rolling stock
Coordinate with terminals about the loading and unloading of the trains for daily operations
Reports safety related defects on rolling stock to relevant internal and external parties
Coordinate with customer service department about irregularities and delays
Communication about rail infra structure with different railcompanies, Infrabel and subcontractors related to train corridors
Coordinate short term train schedules with Short Term Planner and Supervisor Operations.
Reports and registers defects of wagons and locomotives to the fleet technician
Responsible for efficient daily planning of car fleet for the drivers.
Responsible for correct execution of the safety and incident protocol

Gewenste ervaring / opleiding / certificaten

Experience in railway production- & operations
HBO level (preferably Logistics)
Knowledge of Dutch, English and German language
Excellent knowledge of MS Office
Relevant experience in logistic procedures
